Update July, 2008
Hi there all of you out there!
So we finally made an update for the website. I know we have been lousy with
the updates for ages. We decided that everybody in the band should write
down their version of what happened with Tad Morose in the last couple of
years. So here are the story so far.
Krunt
First I have to tell you that we lost yet another member. Anders (Bass) and
the band have decided that it is time for him to move on. There are no hard
feelings or such, and I will miss him. We have played in the same bands for
ages and he joined Tad Morose back in 1995! More about that in his own words
later. I wish him all the best! So we have started the search for a new bassist!
Any suggestions?
So what the hell have we been up to since the last release Modus Vivendi?
Well, sometimes I ask that to myself too. The years just seem to fly by!
To be totally honest we have been working on the new album ALL the time.
But because members come and go, and various things happens, we have been
forced back many times. So in one way you could say that the album we now
are working on is really the third new album since Modus Vivendi! Of which
you have so far heard nothing from. That sucks pretty much I think! But not
much to do about. After the successful Modus Vivendi, we did some of our
best shows ever and we all felt that things finally started to happen for
us. But as we all now know, that blew over real fast! I don´t know what
happened, really. We just lost all the momentum.
I personally feel that it started with that we had growing problems working
with Urban Breed, especially after a Scandinavian tour we did as support
to Nocturnal Rites and Edguy. After that I think he started to behave really
strange. I guess it was the well known thing called "rockstaritis", which
led to personal problems with each other, musical differences and what not.
It just became clear that we could not carry on like this. We had the studio
booked and everything, the tunes were not all ready, but that is nothing
new when it comes to Tad Morose. We all knew that the studio was booked months
in advance but everybody didn´t focus enough or wasn´t being honest
enough, so we had to cancel that recording just a few days prior to the set
date. This was no easy thing to do. I still feel really sorry that we screwed
up the schedule for the studio, which led to that the owner of the studio
losing money just because we acted like fools. This led to that Urban left
the band, or was fired, depending on how you see it. Doesn´t matter
really. I know that he wasn´t happy in the band either so this was best
for all of us. Still, he is a hell of a singer! Strange dude though. But
I wish him all the best.
After that we started to audition new singers, some very good. But when we
heard Joe sing Anubis as well as a new tune it was easy to choose. Man, he
can sing! So we trashed a few new tunes and started to write new ones. We
did a few selected shows in Sweden and Norway with Joe that worked out great!
Then all of a sudden Danne decide to also leave the band. This was early
fall 2007. We had been lazy for a while and decided that it was time to kick
our self in the butts and start getting the act together, Anders had moved
to Västerås and we didn´t all meet and rehearse as much as
we used to lately, but we all set a weekend when we should just get together
and focus on Tad Morose and decide how we should carry on and make everything
work. I had cancelled every other thing that weekend since this was important.
And guess what? That very same day Danne decided to quit the
band
..????!!!! That was something that I did not expect! So after that
it felt like "What the f**k! How hard can it be to get this f**king album
done!" But again, not much to do really. Danne had lost the interest in Tad
Morose and that's that. I wish him all the best too, he is a nice guy, a
very good songwriter and an excellent guitarist! Unfortunately he had written
like half the tunes for the 2nd new album which he now wanted to use for
himself. And guess which tunes Joe had already made vocals for? Yes, some
of Danne´s songs.
So, square one, AGAIN! Kind of, at least. I felt that it maybe was time to
berry Tad Morose and just do something different. To me, it has always been
all about having a good time together and having fun. I mean, if it ain´t
fun, it just ain´t worth it, and now it was pretty f**king far from
fun!
Luckily Peter and Joe talked me back to believing in the band again. So we
asked Markus if he would like to join the band and he did. This was in spring
of 2008. He brought in fresh ideas and enthusiasm again. Thanx Markus! It
was by this time Anders left the band. So we are now writing some new tunes
for the 3rd new album which hopefully you also will get to hear eventually.
We will use some "older" new tunes as well I guess, so we got plenty of tunes
written already but we might write a few more too, we´ll see.
We also broke up with Century Media last year, I guess they got fed up waiting
too, can´t blame them. We´ll see who will bring the new one to
you when time comes
;-)
Since Modus Vivendi, a lot of things happened in our personal lifes as well,
which has more or less affected Tad Morose. I got two children now, a daughter
and a son, I built a house (still building it
) and changed my daily
job. Yes, we all have regular day jobs! Then we also have the funerals, weddings,
birthdays, injuries and what not that keeps you occupied.
But there might be a ketchup effect soon. Besides Tad Morose I have gotten
a lot of work done on that Sefer Jezirah album. (look elsewhere on this site
for what that is all about) and I´m involved in a project with Danne
Eriksson (played drums on the first Tad Morose album) which soon will take
solid form. So I have been busy and gotten as much done as I can all the
time even that not much shows so far...
I also would like to let you know that it really warms my heart and makes
it all worth it that some of you out there still care! THANX! Krunt.
By the way, I saw Black Sabbath with Dio live last summer, and yes, they
still F**king rule! I never thought that I would see them live. Nice to see
that miracles actually can happen! So who knows, it might be that we have
a new album out soon then!... Nah, that was too much, wasn´t it?

The story so far and all the that shit!!
What happened and what's up? Well some times it's difficult to put your finger
on what went wrong, it's a number of things! But playing in a band is a love/hate
relationship.
We had an album ready to record in January 2006!!!! But disagreement in the
band, about whether the songs were good enough started. It all ended with
Urban leaving the band.
So there we stod without a singer, and soon a record deal. So we started
to make new songs while we were looking for a new singer. After trying out
some exellent singers we got a tip from our friend Hakon Graf that Joe Comeau
(ex. Annihilator, Overkill) was available and looking for a band!!
With Joe in the band we took on some gigs and Joe came over from the states
for about 2 weeks. We rehearsed and did some exellent shows in 2006!!! So
after that with our hopes up high, we started to work once again on the new
album. Sending files back and forth, rearrangeing songs and mixing. And by
the summer we had a 2 track demo ready to send out to record companies.
The harder we tryed to make things work the faster it fell apart! By this
time Anders had moved to another city. Rehearsals twice a week become rehearsals
once every other month, and the lack of interest for the band started to
grow. We do have a life beside the music, work, children, girlfriends and
wifes!!! And then suddenly Daniel left the band due to personal reasons.
And it just felt like the end of the band.
Anders started to play with the band Wolf and I started to play and recorde
with STEEL ATTACK. I made an album with SA - "Carpe DiEnd" and played some
gigs!!
I meet Krunt around X-mas (2007) and we started to talk. In January (2008)
Me and Krunt started to pick up the pieces, and looking for a new guitar
player. Well we found Markus Albertson and now we have some new songs and
hopfully a new album out soon!
Anders
Dear friends!
So decisions have been made... and it hasn´t been easy... but in the
end i have to do what I feel is the right thing for me, and for the band.
It´s never a good time to quit a band but I think if I should quit,
this is the time to do it. I mean, Tad Morose has been a big part of my life
for about 12 years, and it has been a rocky road. A lot of joy and good times
and there has been some trouble...but that´s the way it goes! And if
it wasn´t for the guys in Tad, and you... the fans... I would never
have all those good and awesome memories!
As many of you guys know I´ve been in the band Wolf for some time now
and right now that´s taking all of my time. I´m going to keep on
playing the metal that I love and I hope that some of you out there still
will be in front of the stage when i´m playing. So I wish the Tads good
luck in what ever they do in the future. Thanx for those amazing 12 years
and I hope there will be at least 12 more on the stage! Stay Heavy! Black
Sabbath Rules!
All the best
Anders Modd

"Just been hanging doing quite a lot of writing. Working on music and working
on my house as well. Got some new music written for the band as well as lyrics
and melodies. Had some changes go on with the line up and that's a bummer,
but we must persist. Can't wait to get the first CD under our belts so we
can go out and jam and play some gigs and kick some ass.. in yer face! :)
Been too long since we've been out and seen our friends round this earth.
Hope you all are well. Cheers and signing off for now. Metal." Joe

First I have to say that I'm proud to be the new guitarist in Tad Morose.
It was an easy desicion to make when they asked me because I have followed
them for many years.
We are working hard on the new songs and the result so far is awesome! I
hope that you will feel the same when you hear it!
See ya!!
