Update July, 2008
Hi there all of you out there!
So we finally made an update for the website. I know we have been lousy with
the updates for ages. We decided that everybody in the band should write
down their version of what happened with Tad Morose in the last couple of
years. So here are the story so far.
Krunt
First I have to tell you that we lost yet another member. Anders (Bass) and
the band have decided that it is time for him to move on. There are no hard
feelings or such, and I will miss him. We have played in the same bands for
ages and he joined Tad Morose back in 1995! More about that in his own words
later. I wish him all the best! So we have started the search for a new bassist!
Any suggestions?
So what the hell have we been up to since the last release Modus Vivendi?
Well, sometimes I ask that to myself too. The years just seem to fly by!
To be totally honest we have been working on the new album ALL the time.
But because members come and go, and various things happens, we have been
forced back many times. So in one way you could say that the album we now
are working on is really the third new album since Modus Vivendi! Of which
you have so far heard nothing from. That sucks pretty much I think! But not
much to do about. After the successful Modus Vivendi, we did some of our
best shows ever and we all felt that things finally started to happen for
us. But as we all now know, that blew over real fast! I don´t know what
happened, really. We just lost all the momentum.
I personally feel that it started with that we had growing problems working
with Urban Breed, especially after a Scandinavian tour we did as support
to Nocturnal Rites and Edguy. After that I think he started to behave really
strange. I guess it was the well known thing called "rockstaritis", which
led to personal problems with each other, musical differences and what not.
It just became clear that we could not carry on like this. We had the studio
booked and everything, the tunes were not all ready, but that is nothing
new when it comes to Tad Morose. We all knew that the studio was booked months
in advance but everybody didn´t focus enough or wasn´t being honest
enough, so we had to cancel that recording just a few days prior to the set
date. This was no easy thing to do. I still feel really sorry that we screwed
up the schedule for the studio, which led to that the owner of the studio
losing money just because we acted like fools. This led to that Urban left
the band, or was fired, depending on how you see it. Doesn´t matter
really. I know that he wasn´t happy in the band either so this was best
for all of us. Still, he is a hell of a singer! Strange dude though. But
I wish him all the best.
After that we started to audition new singers, some very good. But when we
heard Joe sing Anubis as well as a new tune it was easy to choose. Man, he
can sing! So we trashed a few new tunes and started to write new ones. We
did a few selected shows in Sweden and Norway with Joe that worked out great!
Then all of a sudden Danne decide to also leave the band. This was early
fall 2007. We had been lazy for a while and decided that it was time to kick
our self in the butts and start getting the act together, Anders had moved
to Västerås and we didn´t all meet and rehearse as much as
we used to lately, but we all set a weekend when we should just get together
and focus on Tad Morose and decide how we should carry on and make everything
work. I had cancelled every other thing that weekend since this was important.
And guess what? That very same day Danne decided to quit the
band
..????!!!! That was something that I did not expect! So after that
it felt like "What the f**k! How hard can it be to get this f**king album
done!" But again, not much to do really. Danne had lost the interest in Tad
Morose and that's that. I wish him all the best too, he is a nice guy, a
very good songwriter and an excellent guitarist! Unfortunately he had written
like half the tunes for the 2nd new album which he now wanted to use for
himself. And guess which tunes Joe had already made vocals for? Yes, some
of Danne´s songs.
So, square one, AGAIN! Kind of, at least. I felt that it maybe was time to
berry Tad Morose and just do something different. To me, it has always been
all about having a good time together and having fun. I mean, if it ain´t
fun, it just ain´t worth it, and now it was pretty f**king far from
fun!
Luckily Peter and Joe talked me back to believing in the band again. So we
asked Markus if he would like to join the band and he did. This was in spring
of 2008. He brought in fresh ideas and enthusiasm again. Thanx Markus! It
was by this time Anders left the band. So we are now writing some new tunes
for the 3rd new album which hopefully you also will get to hear eventually.
We will use some "older" new tunes as well I guess, so we got plenty of tunes
written already but we might write a few more too, we´ll see.
We also broke up with Century Media last year, I guess they got fed up waiting
too, can´t blame them. We´ll see who will bring the new one to
you when time comes
;-)
Since Modus Vivendi, a lot of things happened in our personal lifes as well,
which has more or less affected Tad Morose. I got two children now, a daughter
and a son, I built a house (still building it
) and changed my daily
job. Yes, we all have regular day jobs! Then we also have the funerals, weddings,
birthdays, injuries and what not that keeps you occupied.
But there might be a ketchup effect soon. Besides Tad Morose I have gotten
a lot of work done on that Sefer Jezirah album. (look elsewhere on this site
for what that is all about) and I´m involved in a project with Danne
Eriksson (played drums on the first Tad Morose album) which soon will take
solid form. So I have been busy and gotten as much done as I can all the
time even that not much shows so far...
I also would like to let you know that it really warms my heart and makes
it all worth it that some of you out there still care! THANX! Krunt.
By the way, I saw Black Sabbath with Dio live last summer, and yes, they
still F**king rule! I never thought that I would see them live. Nice to see
that miracles actually can happen! So who knows, it might be that we have
a new album out soon then!... Nah, that was too much, wasn´t it?
Peter
The story so far and all the that shit!!
What happened and what's up? Well some times it's difficult to put your finger
on what went wrong, it's a number of things! But playing in a band is a love/hate
relationship.
We had an album ready to record in January 2006!!!! But disagreement in the
band, about whether the songs were good enough started. It all ended with
Urban leaving the band.
So there we stod without a singer, and soon a record deal. So we started
to make new songs while we were looking for a new singer. After trying out
some exellent singers we got a tip from our friend Hakon Graf that Joe Comeau
(ex. Annihilator, Overkill) was available and looking for a band!!
With Joe in the band we took on some gigs and Joe came over from the states
for about 2 weeks. We rehearsed and did some exellent shows in 2006!!! So
after that with our hopes up high, we started to work once again on the new
album. Sending files back and forth, rearrangeing songs and mixing. And by
the summer we had a 2 track demo ready to send out to record companies.
The harder we tryed to make things work the faster it fell apart! By this
time Anders had moved to another city. Rehearsals twice a week become rehearsals
once every other month, and the lack of interest for the band started to
grow. We do have a life beside the music, work, children, girlfriends and
wifes!!! And then suddenly Daniel left the band due to personal reasons.
And it just felt like the end of the band.
Anders started to play with the band Wolf and I started to play and recorde
with STEEL ATTACK. I made an album with SA - "Carpe DiEnd" and played some
gigs!!
I meet Krunt around X-mas (2007) and we started to talk. In January (2008)
Me and Krunt started to pick up the pieces, and looking for a new guitar
player. Well we found Markus Albertson and now we have some new songs and
hopfully a new album out soon!
Anders
Dear friends!
So decisions have been made... and it hasn´t been easy... but in the
end i have to do what I feel is the right thing for me, and for the band.
It´s never a good time to quit a band but I think if I should quit,
this is the time to do it. I mean, Tad Morose has been a big part of my life
for about 12 years, and it has been a rocky road. A lot of joy and good times
and there has been some trouble...but that´s the way it goes! And if
it wasn´t for the guys in Tad, and you... the fans... I would never
have all those good and awesome memories!
As many of you guys know I´ve been in the band Wolf for some time now
and right now that´s taking all of my time. I´m going to keep on
playing the metal that I love and I hope that some of you out there still
will be in front of the stage when i´m playing. So I wish the Tads good
luck in what ever they do in the future. Thanx for those amazing 12 years
and I hope there will be at least 12 more on the stage! Stay Heavy! Black
Sabbath Rules!
All the best

"Just been hanging doing quite a lot of writing. Working on music and working
on my house as well. Got some new music written for the band as well as lyrics
and melodies. Had some changes go on with the line up and that's a bummer,
but we must persist. Can't wait to get the first CD under our belts so we
can go out and jam and play some gigs and kick some ass.. in yer face! :)
Been too long since we've been out and seen our friends round this earth.
Hope you all are well. Cheers and signing off for now. Metal." Joe

First I have to say that I'm proud to be the new guitarist in Tad Morose.
It was an easy desicion to make when they asked me because I have followed
them for many years.
We are working hard on the new songs and the result so far is awesome! I
hope that you will feel the same when you hear it!
See ya!!

Update May/June, 2008
Hi everybody! Finally some news!!! Due to personal reason, Daniel has left
the band.
We already found a new guitar player and his name is Markus Albertson.
We have picked up the pieces again and now carry on working on the new Tad
Morose album!

March 29th, 2007
Hi everybody!
So........finally some news! We have been getting a lot of well deserved
kick in our butts for not updating the website. And, as mentioned on our
forum, it is really bad when a former band member has to come in and give
the fans an update.
So what is really going on with Tad Morose?
The songs are written, pre-production recording done. Planing for the recording
of the album has begun. Our goal is to get the album out before we get shitfaced
and say happy new year again.
We will also shape up and keep this website just a tad more updated ;-)
I know this isn´t much of an update, but at least you know what is going
on and more "flashy" stuff will come during the following weeks.
So should it really take this long to make an album? No! But in our case,
obviously....
A band could manage to brake up, start their solo careers, the record company
would put out a "Best of" album and the band could even do a reunion in the
same period of time as we have been "working on the new album". In our case,
it has sometimes felt that the harder we try the harder it gets to get it
done.
I hope you will feel that it was worth the wait when you get to listen to
it.
Stay Heavy! Black Sabbath Rules!
Cheers!
Krunt, Tad Morose

March 29th, 2006
We are proud to announce that the new lead singer in Tad Morose is Joe Comeau.
A new era has begun for us and the next release will be by far the most powerful
we have ever done.
"What can I say? Obviously I am very honored to be the new vocalist for
the great Tad Morose! I would first like to thank all the Tad guys for bringing
me on board. Work has already begun on awesome new Tad Morose material and
I am psyched as hell to move ahead on creating a killer new CD with these
guys. I am also looking forward to our upcoming shows so I can meet all the
Tad faithful and friends alike! Make sure you come and have a drink with
us. See ya soon! Cheers, Joe Comeau."

February 2006
HELLo there everybody!
It's been a while since I posted any news on the site, but there hasn't been
so much to tell you, so far...
As many of you know, we have been looking for a new singer since december,
listening to "audition CD's", trying out some at our rehearsal place, etc
etc. So far we have heard some very good singers! I guess we will be able
to announce who it will be sometime in March.
We got two festivals booked, Gothenburg Metal Festival in Sweden and Karmoygeddon
Festival in Norway. For more information please visit their websites at:
www.gothenburgmetal.se
www.karmoygeddon.info
The work on the new album continues and we are all very exited about getting
a new singer in the band. So stay tuned....more news to follow soon......
;-)

December 2005
As many of you already know, Urban Breed is no longer in the band. He has
posted his thoughts about this on the Tad Morose forum. I can't see how he
could have continued in the band either. We wish hom all the best in the
future.
The recording of our next album will be delayed due to this, but we are looking
for a new singer and we got some interesting names already. We will start
the audition after the holidays.
If you think you are the right person, drop us an email ans we'll take it
from there.
Heavy X-mas and a Metal New Year to all of you!
Cheers!

October 2005
Hi there everybody :-)
We all had a nice weekend in Oslo at the Scream Magazine Party at Rockefeller.
Hats of to the Scream staff for taking good care of us. Cheers! It was cool
to see Jon Oliva's Pain again. They also played at last years Prog Power
in Atlanta. They did a very good job in Oslo and Charles of Morgana Lefay
and I was just standing there, smiling like children at christmas. It was
just plain awesome!
This was the last show we had booked for 2005, so now it is all about songwriting
for us. It is going slow but steady. We got a couple of songs done already,
pretty rough versions but they sound very Tad Morose I think. If everything
goes as planned, we will start to record it in January 2006.
Stay Metal!
Cheers

April 2005
Hi there everybody :-)
We had a very nice weekend in Chicago at the Power Fest to say at least.
It was very cool to meet up with the US fans again. Alot of them we already
knew since our last trips to USA, so that was a blast. We also met a big
bunch of new ones. It is just so damn nice to fly to the other side of the
globe and find out that there are people that know about you. I am still
amazed that everything is so big over there. I mean, you could take the city
of Bollnäs (our hometown) and put it in a parking lot at a shopping
mall. A big, BIG, hats off to John and Chris for making this happen. this
trip really gave us a kick in the butt, so we will now shift into high gear
with the song writing for the next album.
Stay Metal !
Cheers

December 2004
Greetings everybody!
So it is that time of year when everybody is trying to look back on everything
that happened during past year again. For us in Tad Morose it has been a
very nice year. We got to do alot of cool things. Offcourse our trip to USA
was one of our highlights during not only this year but also during our 11
years carreer. We met some really nice people and got to meet some "childhood
heroes" like the Savatage guys, Ben Jackson and Midnight from Crimson Glory.
Man, I never thought that would happen! We toured with Edguy and Nocturnal
Rites and we did the 34000 tons of metal cruise. Unfortunatly there was no
european tour this year either and we only did one festival here in europe.
Hopefully that will change during 2005. We got some interesting shows lining
up already so keep an eye on the schedule section on this website for up-dated
information. I just have to mention Edguy again, allthough I´m not a
big fan of their music, I like some of it, they are one hell of a good live
band! I have come across alot of bands throughout all the years but they
are about as good as it gets. They are totally proffesional about what they
are doing and I would not be suprised if they will be the next REALLY big
band. They got what it takes if you ask me. They are also one hell of a bunch
of nice guys. Hey, even their crew is awesome. Thanx for taking good care
of us! Hell, while I´m at it I have to mention Nocturnal Rites too.
I knew about them for ages but never really paid any attention to them. My
misstake! They shure know "how a grinding stone should be pulled"! (Swedish
saying that probably doesn´t make any sence in english, ha ha ha) When
I get to see bands perform live it very often totally change my opinion about
them. Well, enough of this now. I´m getting a bad taste in my mouth
of all this ass kissing. Ha ha ha.
Everybody in the band has been occupied with personal things during the fall
and winter so we had not manage to get that much done on the new album so
far. After the hollidays we will shift into high gear again and start to
write new stuff. You never now how long that is going to take, sometimes
it is like a "ketchup effect", nothing, nothing....nothing....blurp! Everything!
I´m not Nostradamus but I guess the brand new album will be out sometime
early autumn next year. We have also, as many of you already now, filmed
alot of shows and other stuff (hrmm) for a future DVD release. We now think
we got enough stuff and we will start to put it all togeather during the
spring. This will probably be like a "documentary" thing with footage from
the entire carreer. The title for this DVD might be "Come smell the band".
Ha ha ha.
Verry X-Mas and a HEAVY METAL new year!
Cheers,
Krunt

October 2004
Tour report USA and 34 000 tons of Metal Cruise in September 2004
A message from Krunt:
Hi there everybody,
I thought I would write something for the website about the trip we did to
USA in September since we had such a good time, and also a little something
from the 34 000 tons of metal cruise which was a lot of fun, too.
USA:
We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time and finally it was
time for us to go back to USA. We played the Milwaukee Metal Fest a few year
ago and we really enjoyed every minute there. We meet up at our rehearsal
studio on Monday September 13th at 11 p.m. to pack everything. We also did
some signing of Modus Vivendi CDs for some localfans. It is always fun to
try to pack everything we need into a few cases. Since we flew, we had the
baggage limitations to think about. But it worked out after a while. To ease
the transfer thing we had decided to go by train from Bollnäs to the
airport, but it never is appreciated by other travellers on a night train
to wake up to the sound of a loading metal band, he he he.
But this time it went smooth. Last time it almost ended with a fist fight
with a stupid asshole. The train left Bollnäs at 12.30 am and we arrived
at Arlanda airport at 3 am and had something to eat. We left Sweden at 7
am on our way to Charles DeGaulle in Paris. We were a bit delayed for some
reason so we got a bit worried about the next flight. When we landed in Paris
the flight to New York should already be in the air! But a flight stewardess,
a French one, since we flew with Air France, said something like that the
flight to NY where waiting for us so we really had to make a run for it.
It was a bit hard to tell exactly what the hell she said since her English
sounded "very French".
Any way, I had a bad vibe about this airport since some friends of mine told
me that it is one of the worst to try to find your way at. We also got some
last minute "information" on where to go because, at least what we understood,
they had changed the gates. When we finally got out of the plane we just
kind of ran in the same direction as everybody else from our flight. I asked
Peter, since he ran first of us, if he knew where he was running and he said:
"No! But that guy over there said something on the plane about going to USA
so I though I'll follow him" Ok, better then nothing I though, so we ran
like hell. And we actually ended up at the right gate! And the plane was
still there! We had some problems getting on the plane, they asked about
1000 questions about everything. But after a while everything was sorted
out and we boarded the plane a sat down and relaxed. We had some drinks and
tried to enjoy the flight as much as possible. The flight was pretty ok and
we landed at Kennedy airport safely, got through customs and took the shuttle
to the hotel. Went out to a store and bought some beer. But we just had to
stop at a bar on the way. There was not much to do around the hotel so we
just had a few beers and fell a sleep. The day after we meet up with Heather
Smith from Century Media who where there to take care of us. She did a very
good job, excellent! It was the first time we met her and she was nice, down
to earth, and good looking. We have met some real "weird" people throughout
the years, so we didn't know what to expect, but she was awesome. Later that
day, Wednesday September 15th, we took a taxi to BB Kings. It was nice to
get to see a little of NYC, man, that is a BIG city. It felt like it took
forever to get there. We loaded in our gear and went out for some food. We
walked around Times Square, went into some guitar shops but that was about
it as far as sightseeing goes. I guess we are worst tourists ever! Ha ha
ha. It was nice to meet up with the Edguy folks and their crew again. We
did some interviews and talked with some fans. It was nice to meet Jack Frost
again, we met him in Milwaukee when both we and Seven Witches played there
and we had a good time together. Also Jens Johansson showed up, he and his
brother has a tendency to show up everywhere. Later I found out that he lives
in NY so it wasn't that strange. Ha ha ha.
The show was pretty okay, the amp a played through blew up after the first
song so that pissed me off a bit, but soon the crew had another one up there.
I don't know what it was and it sounded like a
well
never mind.
Peter had some problems with the drum kit falling apart. But things like
this is part of the game so it is just to play along. We were amazed by the
response from the crowd. I hope we get back to NYC soon!!! We had a great
time after the show, talking and partying with fans. I had some troubles
getting to the hotel room later that night, I wonder why?, Ha ha ha.
We had some beer at the hotel and then fell a sleep like little babies. We
were scheduled on a flight from Laguardia to Atlanta at 2 p.m., which would
give us plenty of time to get to the pre-party at ProgPower. However, there
was a hurricane going on. Maybe you heard something about it, it was called
Ivan. Ha ha ha. So the flight got delayed, and delayed, and delayed. But
that was no problem, they had a bar there. He he he. After a while (read:
many hours) the flight got cancelled. So, no pre-party for Tad Morose. So
what should we do? We just arranged our own "pre-party" at the FOX bar. Nice!
But all good thing tends to end, they closed at 9 p.m. After that, it wasn't
as much fun hanging around at a airport. Wonder why? Any way, we actually,
finally, got on a plane at 2 a.m. to Atlanta. It was a bumpy flight with
thunderstorms outside the windows. Modden was wide awake the whole flight
but I just fell a sleep right away, drewling like a baby. We arrived in Atlanta
safely at 4 am or so, picked up a rental van and Heather took us to the Faifield
Inn. We just crashed into the beds right away. I have been told that there
was heavy partying outside our room but I didn't hear a thing.
Me and Modden shared hotel rooms and we actually made it in time for breakfast!
Took a shower and went to the venue. We sat around listening to soundchecks
for some time until it was our turn. It was very exiting to see the Sava
thingy sound check. After our sound check, we walked around the venue and
talked to a lot of fans. We were amazed again! By the vibe in our dressing
room just before the show you could really tell that everybody in the band
was focused and thrilled to go on stage. When the guy who presented us to
the audience and I heard the roar, the hair on my arms stood straight up!
I enjoyed every second of the show, the crowd totally blew us away. It will
be really cool when we get the DVD from the show so we can "re-live" the
moment so to say. This show and the one we did at the Sweden Rock Festival
in 2003 is our finest moments on stage so far I guess. The stage crew were
awesome, easy to work with and very professional. THANX!
I had heard a lot of good things about this festival and about Glenn Harveston,
but everything, and I mean everything, was even better then I expected. You
rule! I guess we looked silly on stage with our jaws dropped to the stage
floor due to the overwhelming feedback from the crowd. Ha ha ha. After the
show we just sat down in the dressing room, had a beer, and everybody was
quiet for some time, kind of letting our brains try to understand what we
just had done. Then, there was this BIG, silly smile all over our faces.
There we were, five HAPPY Swedes, on the other side of the globe, and now
it was time to PARTY!!!! We spent the rest of the night partying with fans
and had the time of our life. It was just awesome! At around 2 a.m., or so,
I walked back to the hotel and crashed into the bed. I was totally exhausted.
Again, I can't remember hearing anything outside the door so I guess I was
in DEEP sleep. As far as I heard the morning after, there had been some wild
partying going on. And I missed it! Damn! Me and Modden woke up pretty early,
had some breakfast and then headed for the pool. The weather was warm and
clear. The best way of treating a hangover is to dive into cold water I think,
it kind of wakes you up. It was nice just relaxing by the pool, talking with
other metal heads. Midnight came walking by on the balcony and tossed some
beer into the pool to the drummer and bass player from Into Eternity. I guess
you heard this before but I just have to say it again: It felt like it was
a big bunch of old friends having a nice party. In the afternoon, Kim, a
kind girl from Atlanta, many of you probably met her, took us to some Irish
pub for food. On our way there, some cars were stopping, taking pictures
of us, screaming TAD MOROSE! Or like we would have said here in Sweden: "Det
var ett jävla holabaloo!
When we got to the pub our table was not ready, so we hung at the bar ordering
in some gin & tonics. The bartender told us that the drinks was already
paid for by a gentleman on the other side of the bar, so when we looked at
him and raised our glasses for him he said: "you guys were awesome yesterday!"
Man, I can easily adapt to this way of life. He he he. After the meal we
walked to the Earthlink arena and just walked around in the Vinyl Club, talking
to fans, drinking beer, taking pictures, just having a darn good time. We
had a signing session scheduled later in the afternoon, but we were a bit
scared that it would be kind of "Spinal Tap-ish" since we had signed so much
stuff last night and so far this day. But we were totally amazed (yes, same
word again) by the length of the line leading up to the table. I don't remember
how long we sat there, I think it was an hour or so, then Glenn Harveston,
promoter, showed up and asked if we could to move and continue the signing
and photo sessions somewhere else to keep the time schedule for the signing
sessions. Next up was Ben Jackson and Midnight
I wish I had brought
my Crimson Glory album covers. They were a huge influence for me in the mid
80´s, they still are. I guess I'm not the only one that would be happy
if they got it together again. It was also very nice to meet the other bands,
I mean, hearing Jon Oliva say: "You guys kicked ass" felt pretty good. We
had a blast all evening, just partying and enjoying every second of it.
Unfortunately, due to heavy drinking I guess, I kind of missed most of the
bands on stage. Typical festival thing, it happens to me all the time. Again,
I crashed into the bed pretty early, and missed all the parties at the hotel.
I just have to get back here and make up for it. We managed to keep the check-out
time, barely, and went for pizza. The sun was HOT, I "over-tanned" on Saturday
at the pool so it had started to hurt pretty badly, so I tried to stay in
the shadow.
We bordered the flight in time late afternoon, and landed in Paris early
Monday morning (CET). The flight was not that fun and we had a 4,5 hour layover
in Paris so it was just booooorrriiinnnggg!!!!!! The flight to Stockholm
was not fun either, the plane made some weird noises and the "French" food
was
.well, "French" if you know what I mean. After getting our luggage
we took the elevator down below to the train station and bordered a packed
train to Bollnäs. Everybody was sitting in the wrong places but we didn't
mind, there is no idea to get everybody to move around to their "right" seats.
It's better to just sit down where ever there is a vacant seat. But, at the
next station a stupid bitch entered and started to complain that her seat
was taken by Peter. I tried to explain the situation to her but she was just
like old stupid people. "I have a seat reservation and I want MY seat!" There
was no vacant seats left in this wagon and she refused to look elsewhere
on the train. So I let her have my seat, I couldn't stand to hear her voice
any more. I went off to the restaurant wagon and had some coffee instead.
Modden and Daniel joined me shortly and we stayed there the rest of the way,
talking about what we just had done. We had been looking forward to this
trip for a long time and now it was over. We felt happy, but a bit sad too
at the same time. Now it was back to daily life for us with work, rehearsals
and paying bills. We arrived back home in Bollnäs at 7 p.m. Monday September
20th after about 24 hours of travelling.
34 000 tons of Metal Cruise:
We met up again on Friday September 24th to start the trip to Stockholm to
play the 34 000 tons of metal cruise. This was a fun event. The biggest metal
magazine in Sweden had chartered a big cruise ship travelling between Stockholm
and Åbo (Finland). 23 hours of total metal party. The cruise was sold
out, I think they sold 1700 tickets. We had a rental van and three friends
(crew) with us and the party started at 11.30 am at my house with beer and
whisky. It was me, Modden and Putte, our driver, waiting for the van to arrive.
We went to our rehearsal studio on the other side of town to meet up with
the rest of the band and to load our equipment. Which was done very fast.
We tried to enjoy our self as much as possible while driving to Stockholm.
So we drank beer and Modden showed his bare ass to some old ladies in a car
behind. That is always fun. It got even more fun as we came into the rush
hour traffic in Stockholm because then the cars around ours couldn't get
away. He he he. Times like this you could say that the average age within
this band is about 14. Have you ever heard the expression: "act your age"?
We haven't. He he he.
Arriving at the terminal building was nice, packed with metal heads and metal
music through the speakers. We met some old friends which we hadn't seen
for some time so this was going to be something to remember. On the cruise
ship the party really started. We where playing the next day so it was just
to party all night long. We went directly to the duty-free shop and got something
for later. The food on these boats is excellent and cheep. You can eat and
drink as much as you like. So we had a good time there. Then it was off to
the bar and see some bands. Tankard, Skyclad and Hypocrisy where playing
this night, to be honest, I totally missed Tankard, I saw half a song with
Skyclad but they where just plain boring I think. I saw a few songs with
Hypocrisy and they kicked ass as usual. We had a very good time, I even met
Kai Hansen from Gamma Ray there. He was playing with Stormwarrior in Stockholm
on Saturday evening so he was on the boat just to party. We started to have
too many vodka and RedBulls. But hey! When I'm drinking my judgement is totally
gone. Ha ha ha. When the bars closed we continued the partying in our cabin
and I think I fell asleep around 7.30 am or so. It was a cool "after party",
lots of laughter and lots of beer.
We woke up just in time for brunch and after that I had a Bloody Mary, trying
to treat the hangover. I thought I succeeded but after a couple of hours
it was real bad, and we where about to play soon
First up today was
Wolf. A bunch of cool guys, they did a good job, they had a fare share of
hangover too. Ha ha ha.
Then it was Amon Amarth, Swedish Viking Death Metal from hell. When we where
done setting up on stage I thought that this is going to be tough, I could
barely stand up straight and I felt like I could puke just about anytime.
Hmm, interesting. Where the hell should I puke? I had my guitar cases just
behind the small stage so I thought that if I had to puke I would run back
there and do it in the guitar case. Better then doing it on stage I thought.
How ever, when we started to play the first song I just forgot about the
hangover and it was back to normal "live-mode" again. The stage was very
small and it felt a bit weird playing on a stage that moves. At one time
I saw some islands moving by outside in the corner of my eye and I felt sick.
So I closed my eyes and tried to forget how I felt. I was amazed that the
crowd was so big, I mean everybody had been partying like hell yesterday.
They did a good job! After the show I realized how exhausted I was, I grabbed
a plastic bag just in case and a carried it with me for the rest of the trip.
I went out side on to the deck and stayed there for some time. I don't think
that I ever have felt so sick. It took about 4 days for me to recover after
this trip. Sometimes you wonder if you ever will learn. Ha ha ha.
The cruise was a success for the Sweden Rock Magazine and I guess they now
made it a annual event. Exellent! Silja Line, the cruise company, was satisfied
as well. They where a bit worried at first, I mean a ship full of metal
heads
But they said that it was more easy going then a regular mid
week cruise. Again, we had a very good time and I would like to say thanx
to our crew: Pjuj, stage tech. Putte, driver. Lubbe, photographer. You make
our life easy! THANX! Also a BIG thanx to all the fans for making all this
worth it, and the Sweden Rock Magazine crew for making things run smoothly.
Okay, I know this "tour report" got very long, but I hope you enjoyed reading
it as much as I did writing it.
Cheers,
Krunt

A message from Krunt:
So summer finally came this year too. We had lots of fun on the Edguy tour
togeather with Nocturnal Rites. We actually played in Finland for the first
time and we would really love to go back there. We also had a very good time
at the Decibel 2000 Festival a week ago or so. It was pretty cold that weekend
but you can always "drink your self warm" like we did. Special thanx to Silkie
for bringing "presents" from Germany. Thanx! We are now looking forward to
some vacation during the summer. We will do some local shows here in
Bollnäs during July but that´s about it. In September we will do
the Progpower festival in USA, wich we all are looking forward to. Hell,
I get to see Savatage live! I never thought that would happen.
The animated video for the song Anubis is ready. Look out for it on this
website in the near future.
We are also working on putting some sort of DVD together with all the material
we filmed through the last couple of years. We got some "weird shit" on tape.
Ha ha ha.
Take care, have fun!
Cheers,
Krunt

News from Krunt
We got back safe and sound from the Milwaukee adventure where we did a 30
minute set at the Metalfest! At the moment we are writing new material for
the next album wich will be recorded hopefully sometime this fall.

July 2002
News from Krunt
We are writing new songs for our next album, no date is set yet for the
recording. If possible, we would like to travel away and try out a new studio
so that we can concentrate 100% on the recording. Recording in your home
town makes it hard to focus on the music as much as you would like.
The future is bright: a funny thing about Tad Morose is that Christer "Krunt"
Andersson (guitars) was elected by the local politicians to be Ambassador
of their home town Bollnäs in Sweden! The Ambassador of Bollnäs
has to care for all international connections all over the world. A few years
ago Anders Eriksson, who plays ice hockey for the Chicago Black Hawks in
the NHL and Vicky Silvstedt, Playboy's Playmate of the Year were elected
to do the Ambassadors job, too. Who is wondering about the fact that "Krunt"
is chosen for getting mayor of his home town?

June 2002
Some gigs in Sweden are confirmed, actually July 5th, Tad Morose will play
two gigs at the same day and they will be at the Milwaukee Metalfest.
